For a few months of the year hundreds of wildflowers are showered across the land.

The journey to see the radiant colours as well as the delicate and unusual features of many species, should not be missed.

It's one of the most captivating natural treasures of Wooleen offers.

Wooleen's wildflower season usually commences in very early August and lasts till late September.

Rain greatly effects the timing of the season so it's always a good idea to give us a call to find out when they are blooming.  Insufficient rainfall can result in a failed or below average season.

The Northern Explorer Wildflower Self Drive Route brings you straight to Wooleen's doorstep.

Grab a copy of an Australia's Golden Outback Holiday Planner to help map your journey. Copies can be found at most visitors centres.
