A stay at Wooleen Station isn’t just about photography. It’s about immersing yourself in the quintessential outback experience. You’ll stay in our historic Wooleen Homestead, savour home-cooked meals made with locally sourced ingredients and enjoy the warm hospitality of our hosts.

You’ll have an opportunity to join a Guided Sunset Tour to see and hear about the nationally important wetland Wooleen Lake, seasonal wildflowers, Aboriginal heritage and our vast biodiversity. You’ll also learn about the importance of Australia’s apex predator by interacting with Wooleen’s two dingoes, Eulalia and Steven, during a Dingo Encounter.

Please note, we require that all our guests are independent, with reasonable fitness and mobility. This workshop involves a reasonable amount of walking and is not suitable if you have mobility limitations.

We recommend increasing your walking activity prior to departure if you are not a regular walker. Try out comfortable shoes to take with you and improve your walking fitness as it's a great way to be sure to get the most out of your trip.
