Your well-behaved dog is welcome when camping, but please remember to keep pooch securely on a lead when you check-in at our reception building - Milimanmanha. Prior to setting out, sign your Commitment to Country document and join Wooleen Station in their goal of land rehabilitation and sustainable grazing.

Murchison River Campsites

$37 - 2 adults and 2 children. Set up your tent, camper trailer or caravan at the Murchison River 16kms north of the Wooleen Reception and Cafe.

Camp fires
Each site has a fire-pit. Wooleen does not supply firewood but can direct guests to appropriate collection points. BYO wood is recommended.

Be aware of a restricted burning periods in the Shire of Murchison, roughly October 1st to April 1st each year.

Other campers
Wooleen's four river sites allow one or two vehicles per site. Our priority is preserving the fragile and natural environment located at the Murchison River. Booking in advance is essential.

Facilities
Two composting toilets are available at the river.

Visitors must be self-sufficient during their stay, no electricity is supplied at your campsite.

Drinking water, household rubbish disposal, showers and a cafe are available at the Wooleen Reception - Milimanmanha.

Rocky Outcrop Campsite

$37 - 2 adults 2 children. Set up your swag tent, camper trailer or caravan at the Rocky Outcrop Campground, a cluster of Breakaway rocks 8kms west of the Wooleen Reception and Cafe.

This site has one fire pit to share. Wooleen does not supply firewood but can direct guests to appropriate collection points. BYO wood is recommended.

Other campers
The Rocky Outcrop is one exclusive site which we invite you to enjoy yourself, or to share with a group of friends. Wooleen only has one Rocky Outcrop campsite and booking in advance is essential.

Gidgee Tree Campsites

$30 - 2 adults and 2 children. Set up your swag, tent, camper trailer or caravan under a 12 metre tall Gidgee Tree, 6kms west of the Wooleen Reception and Cafe.

This site has one fire pit to for each of the two sites. Wooleen does not supply firewood but can direct guests to appropriate collection points. BYO wood is recommended.

A dump point can be found at the Murchison Settlement for disposal of your waste.
