Hawks, eagles, exotic parrots and bower birds - the birdlife at Wooleen is remarkable. Because of the mulga's height, the birds are low enough to see at close range.
There aren't many sources of water on the property so at dawn and dusk they all flock to the windmills and waterholes. Thousands and thousands.
